Kumawood actors and actresses were at the Parliament House for a clear node of petitioning for the film village about to be introduced in the country.
The Government of the Republic took time in surveying and researching on the film industry and with effect decided to create a film village with the intention of creating tourism and also engaging and showcasing the film industry under the Creative acts.
So the Kumasi based actors and actresses led by Nana Ama Macbrown, to submit a petition for the location of the film village. They believe the Ashanti kingdom is the ideal place for this action and that the kingdom has played its great role in the film industry.
They were met by the Minister of Parliamentary Affair and also the MP of Suame, Hon Kyei-Mensa-Bonsu, who in speaking on behalf of the house said that they will put into consideration and that it is of an important venture to approach and also in the right direction.
